Parallel Lives by Mo Gaffney and Kathy Nijimy. Back in full force with the crazy comedic duo of
Breanna Stogner and Kathleen Fletcher in this encore production.  The hilarious stage show
features a total of twenty-five plus odd characters  in the wildest of comic sketches that muses on
the battle of the sexes, homophobia, misogyny, religion, female anxiety, and oppression.
September 18 - 28

Glengarry Glen Ross by David Mamet. Lie. Cheat. Steal…all in day’s work.  Everyone plays an
angle in Mamet’s savage examination of the competitive world of sales. Delve into the seamier
side of American business with this Pulitzer Prize-winning play that remains one of the most
electrifying modern dramas.
 October 2- 26

Christmas Belles by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten. The Austin premier
comedy about a church Christmas program that spins hilariously out of control in this Southern
farce about squabbling sisters, family secrets, vengeful sheep, a surly Santa, and of course, an
Elvis impersonator.
December 4 - 21 (new dates)

Fences by August Wilson. A winner of the American stage - the tale of a Negro League ballplayer
turned trash collector - features a painfully fractured father - son relationship and the best of
Wilson’s trademark Pittsburgh back-porch philosophizing. Co-produced for Black History month
February 26 - March 22

The Heidi Chronicles by Wendy Wasserstein. Her characters are smart, successful, sad,
stranded and not afraid to admit it. This award-winning play charts one feminist’s path from the
tumultuous ‘60s through the isolated ‘80s, but her journey is timeless.  
March 26- April 19

Buried Child by Sam Shepard. In the tradition of Eugene O’Neil and Arthur Miller, comes Sam
Shepard’s Pulitzer Prize-winning quintessential drama about a disintegrating Midwestern family
hiding a terrible secret.  
May 14 - June 7

Nunsense, the musical by Dan Goggin.  Get thee to a nunnery with the hit musical comedy
celebrating its 25th anniversary and filled with so much sisterly love and good cheer that it has
had audiences around the world rolling in the aisles. The little Sisters of Hoboken have a
problem: how to bury fifty-two sisters accidentally poisoned by their cook, Sister Julia, Child of
God. It’s time for a fund-raising talent show, and the nuns are the talent…well, sort of. An award-
winning, laugh out loud show filled with songs, surprises, and good old fashioned fun that is a
sure pleaser for the entire family. Bottom line – It’s heavenly fun!
June 11 - July 5

Tartuffe. Moliere's wit takes center stage in one of the theater’s most enduring tales about a
conman who discovers that the unattainable is always the most desirable. Intrigue, greed,
lechery, betrayal and hypocrisy lay the foundation for great comedy in this hilarious classic.
July 23 - August 16

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. C.S. Lewis’ classic story involving four children who
discover a gateway to another world, and the adventure begins.
August 20 - September 13

Pending royalties and costs, The City Theatre Company is hoping to produce Hedwig and the
Angry Inch and Cabaret during the 2009 summer season.
